If you want to know who is going to the reunion, check out the Classmate Profiles page (on the yellow banner to the left). On that page click on  Attending Reunion.  Who can you get a ride with, (or a ride home?) have some grog with, dance with, reminisce with???   And let me give you some advice... DON'T WATCH 'HIGH SCHOOL REUNION' on TV LAND!  (They advertise it during the Andy Griffith Show, now THERE'S a good show, gosh, did I admit I watch that? Well, I missed it 45 years ago....)

A big thank you to Ken Costa for for putting the spirit of '69 out there and having the courage to announce our 41st Class reunion.  It will be held on April 24, 2010 at the Pleasanton Marriott, more details to follow. There will be a special room rate for the Class of '69 and I hear some folks have already made their reservations!  If you would like to help put the reunion together please email Ken Costa by clicking on his name.  We can use lots of help!   This site will be where you can check for announcements regarding the reunion. There will also be email updates as new information and reminders are pending, once you register on this site.   Classmates will also have the ability to email you.  It's our own little social network. If you know of any classmates, or even have clues as to where they might be please email us, we have a committee who is working on tracking folks down, your help is essential!  As of February 7 we have 39% of the class online, that is phenomenal!  Our goal is 50% by the time the reunion comes around, help us meet that goal by encouraging your buddies to sign on!

The Class of 1969, Non-Traditional?                                         In thinking about our class, I realize we were very non-traditional (41 year reunion?). We were the first girls to wear pants to school one cold day and to wear pants to the Senior Ball (check out Carolyn Capps' profile).  I believe a few of us got suspended over that.  Names like Lynette Rego, and Carole Van Leiden pop up when I think of that... do I remember that correctly?  What a shocking display of rebellion!  Have you seen the way kids dress in high school now?  What's up with the underwear thing?  I remember driving around in Meredith Asher's 55' (or so) Pontiac, and I bet she might still have it!  (I checked with her at the Reunion Committee meeting last week, she does still have the '55!) I saw her Dad's 60's blue Pontiac parked out front of their house awhile back.  I'd love to hear Meredith's updates on those cars.  If you have pics of your high school cars, or those you wish you had never sold (mine was a maroon '69 Mustang) send them to me and I'll post them on our VINTAGE CARS page.

This site will help us remember those kind of memories  I'm sure you've got  to share.  We hope to make this site YOURS with your stories and contributions.  Please contact us if you would like to be involved or contribute.  Please visit profiles such as those belong to, John Skoglund, Luray Canham Good,   or even mine to get a sample of what you might want to put out there. Were you shy in high school?  Well, you're too old  to be shy now, tell us your story!

~In MEMORY~

The response to this site has been very touching. If you can offer information or encouraging stories regarding our classmates who have passed, it will be a loving gesture,  greatly appreciated.  This is a wonderful opportunity to offer tributes to our classmates who have gone on before us, offering healing and thoughtful regard for lives that touched ours.   Please visit this site and contribute.

                      GRAND KIDS!

We'd love to see pictures of your grand kids.  These 6 belong to a very special grandpa.  Did I mention I have a new grandson who was born just this week, Nov. 16th.   Check him out!
I have been looking through our yearbook, Anchors Aweigh, and remembering a lot of things long forgotten.  I would encourage you to do the same ~ please get out your yearbook and revisit the Class of 1969. Whether you are sittin' on the dock of the bay, or lighting your fire (it's probably a fireplace these days..) try to remember some stories and send me an email, I'll post them.   As I look at each picture, and type each name individually, I try to remember an encounter with each face. What I remember mostly is each person's smile. I am enjoying trying to fit all the hairdos into the scanned frames!  I'm not just talking girls hair either! It's been 41 years... we are all very different people now.  I'd love to meet you all again.  See you at the reuinion, but in the meantime, check out this guy's profile....by clicking on his picture.... hey, he's still got hair!

Fun Feature on the site:  Question of the week

This week's question takes us back in the sports history of the Class of '69 and an encounter with this famous Raider.... please go to Weekly Question for clues.

Last week's question asked about a classmate who spends hours on the beach watching this bird, and maybe snoozing on the beach too.  The winner was Linda Eade, answering with Don Rodriguez!
