Daniel "Danny" Charles Bridges passed away April 10, 2009 at the age of 57. Our beloved Danny passed during a stay at his home in Shanghai China, a place that he held to his heart dearly. Shanghai examiner reported his death to be caused by Keto-acidosis, a complication due to diabetes, which he was diagnosed nearly 30 years ago.
Danny was born in Oakland, California September 11, 1951, the youngest son of his late parents Arthur and Jeanette Bridges. His two brothers Dale and Thomas Bridges survive him. Danny was a graduate of San Leandro High School that aided in his career of real estate and the import/export business. His caring and loving nature was spread to many people all across the world through his love of traveling. Aside for being known for his trips around the globe, his unstoppable need to love and help others will be greatly remembered.
Along with his love and loyalty to his friends and family, his heart was not limited to the ones he knew. Having his own struggle with diabetes his love of helping others extended to the American Diabetes Association. Once again, Danny was helping others without ever meeting them. Danny never considered another person a “stranger”. When he would meet somebody new he would offer a strong hand shake, a comforting smile, and a feeling as if you knew him your whole life. For anyone to say that Danny did not care would be a lie, but to say he did would be an understatement.
If there was a way for Danny to open up his coat, tip his hat and blanket the world from harm, you can believe that he would. Of all the ways that Danny would help people, simply getting to sit and chat for a few minute was more than most could do in a lifetime.
