I'm currently living and working in San Jose. I got a job teaching English when I first went to France, even though I knew nothing about it. Came back home, got a B.A. in French, M.A. in Linguistics, and now I'm an ESL teacher. I've taught in Munich, Paris, Beijing, and Sai Gon, but am currently in good 'ole San Jose 'cause the pay's better. : - ) I've been doing a lot of swimming lately, and the picture below shows me relaxing after (finally) winning my age group in the Treasure Island to San Francisco swim this year. kenneth.jardin@evc.edu |

I still remember the time we got a little TOO greedy trying to get into the drive-in in Charlie Simpson's car. Instead of leaving 2 people in the vehicle, we convinced Charles to drive in alone with 4 of us in the trunk. I remember trying to hold down the trunk as the drive-in manager was pulling it open. Man, the rear end of that (Impala?) was almost touching the ground as we drove in. Poor Charlie trying to explain what he was doing driving in alone with a load of bricks in the trunk!
And I remember working at the San Leandro 3 minute car wash while you all were at Jerry's having cheeseburgers! (See video below) |
